..:::Osama Bin Laden's Death an Accomplishment or Disaster?:::...

Currently, United States citizens are gathering in celebration of the death of America’s most wanted Terrorist, Osama Bin Laden. Families are commemorating the death of loved ones and are relieved that the individual responsible for the devastation on September 11th has been brought to justice. Parties are being thrown, Facebook statuses are filled with witty remarks, and the media expresses the glory of this situation. Unfortunately though, in the midst of joy and relief can anyone detect the potential retaliation? The fury and sadness felt by his followers? And the possibility that this could be detrimental to the United States?

In reality, despite the fact that it is assumed that some members of his support system may have possessed an immeasurable amount of disdain for Osama, many were willing to give up life itself in order to carry out his ideologies and beliefs. Since this is the case, no one can predict the impact that the death of America’s number one Public Enemy will have on these people. The act of offering ones’ life in honor of the practices a leader encourages clearly reveals the loyalty, love and respect for that particular individual. This in turn influences the followers of the leader to protect, remain true to and be concerned with the well being of the person that has diligently lead for many years.

Research has proven that even victims of child molestation have a connection to their abuser, that members of cults who are brainwashed by the leader feel obligated to remain with that leader and that people who are mentally/ physically abused continue to protect and care for those who intentionally hurt them. You are probably wondering what this has to do with Osama Bin Laden…the fact of the matter is that it is easily understood that regardless of how brutally horrible a person is, if that person has been a strong part of the individuals’ life then it is hard to simply break away from the bond that was created. The United States carried out an operation that may seemingly be a glorious occasion for America, yet may truly be consequential in the future.

I will leave you with one last thought:  Isn’t it ironic that many wars are fought for the pursuit of peace? ---In other words, “The purpose of all wars…is peace

WAR=PEACE?.... You be the judge!!
